Castor Oil
For external use : For cracked Skin/Nails, Minor Cuts, Wounds, Burns, Fungal Infections, Discoloration of Skin, Dry Skin, Acne etc. It is very beneficial to make the skin and face soft and charming look.
Castor Oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the castor seeds. It is a colorless to very pale yellow liquid with milk or no odor or taste. It is generally recognized as safe and effective. Castor Oil can be taken internally for its Laxative effect or may used as and emollient to smoothen the skin and keep it moist. Apply to skin as a softener.
The seed oil of a large tropical plant Ricinus communis, Castor Oil has been used for many years to ease constipation (Traditionally taken internally as a purgative or used externally as a compress). It is mostly used in cases of high Pitta (Fire), Ama (Toxins).

According to Ayurveda
Castor Oil is used to lubricate the digestive system. Healers suggest about one tea spoon with warm milk/tea/coffee for internal consumption before bed time may generate bowl movement next day.
Main Components
It is a triglycerids in which approximately 90% of fatty acids chains are ricinoleic acid. Oleic and linoleic acids are the other significant components.
Ricinoleic acid shows anti inflammatory effects.
Uses of Castor Oil
The cold pressed castor oil is tasteless and odorless when pure.
- It is used in skin problems, burns, sunburns, skin disorders, skin cuts, abrasions.
