Habitat : Small tree found in plains and lower hills of Bengal, Assam, Burma.
DESCRIPTION
S. racernosa is a small tree with dark green leathery leaves. The leafstalk is small. The cream coloured flowers are small, and grouped in clusters. The fruit is purplish black and 1 cm long.
Properties : Bark is considered cooling and mild astringent. In Menorragia due to relaxation of uterine tissue, has specific action on relaxed mucous membranes.
