Pachak Churna is a combination of herbs designed to strengthen the digestive fire, promote healthy digestion and maintain normal levels of acidity within the system. It is soothing and calming to the internal membranes. This is often taken after meals to speed up digestion and to address accumulation of undigested food and gas bloating. This can be used regularly for healthy digestion and peristalsis.

Ayurvedic concepts

After digestion, assimilation of essential nutrients to all parts of the body occurs. If digestion is not proper, a nutritious diet will still result in deficiency of nutrients within the body. Ayurveda has addressed various digestive problems under heading of "Ajeerna" (malfunction of digestive fire "Pachak-Agni". If Pachak-Agni functions properly the other systems of the body benefit greatly.

According to Ayurveda

According to Ayurveda the benefits of these herbs and pro digestive enzymes include Vata (air) and Pitta (fire) pacifying agents, which decrease abdominal distension. They are used in cases of anorexia and indigestion, balancing the digestive fire relieving distension and abdominal pain. Digestive and salivary secretions are increased and a mild laxative and digestive effect is produced maintaining balanced levels of gastric and acidic secretions.

Comments

If frequent flatulence occurs use with "Gastro Care" or "Hingvastika Churna".

In case of constipation, take with "Triphala" at bedtime.

In case of acidity (heartburn), use with "Netacid".

For biliousness, also consider "Livrol Forte".

In case of unusual heaviness and distention in abdomen late after meals use with "Gastro Care" or "Trikatu".

Foods To Favor

Light diet of unpolished rice, green gram (Lentils) soup, garlic (except in heart burn), lemon, Amla, orange, pomegranate, ginger, coriander, buttermilk, lukewarm water and bitter melon are beneficial. Always drink room rature water while eating instead of ice-cold water.

Foods To Avoid

Junk food, irregular eating habits, fish, non vegetarian foods (red meats and heavy proteins), excess drinking of ice cold water, excess use of sweets, potatoes, milk and milk products (except curd), heavy and fried meat, bakery foods like donuts, cake, biscuits, spicy food.
