  • Other Names: Tinospora cordifolia, Gulancha Tinospora, Indian Tinospora and Giloy.

Properties:

  • Rasa (Taste): Bitter and Astringent
  • Guna (Characteristics): Heavy and Unctuous
  • Veerya (Potency): Warm
  • Vipaka (Post Digestion Effect): Sweet
  • Effect on Doshas (Humor): Pacifies high Pita (fire).

Chemical constituents:

Alkaloids, diterpenoid lactones, glycosides, steroids, sesquiterpenoid, phenolics, aliphatic compounds and polysaccharides.

Serving Size:

Take 5 Gms (half to one teaspoon) 2 times a day Guduchi Powder with water 1-2 hrs after meals. Take first dose after breakfast.
